Is God calling you to work with our youth?

There is a great need for adult volunteers who are willing to take give of their time and talents to bring teens closer to Christ!  Please prayerfully consider how you can help give to the youth of our parishes!  Needs vary from chaperoning FNLs during the school year, helping prepare a meal for events, to leading a Discipleship group twice per month.  If God is calling you, there is a place for you to help and we will train you so you feel equipped to work with our young people.

As always, the purpose of all the ministry we do is to bring teens closer to Christ by introducing them to prayer and forming relationships with them, so if the opportunity presents itself to have conversations with the teens, we love it when adult volunteers are a welcoming presence at events by loving the teens and "meeting them where they are at" in order to invite them to follow Jesus Christ as his disciple.  One of the greatest things we can do as adults in youth ministry is demonstrate that the Catholic Church is the opposite of the stuffy, judgmental stereotypes that are so often applied to us.

PARENTS:

WE ARE IN GREAT NEED OF ADULT VOLUNTEERS TO COMMIT TO BEING PRESENT AT FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE AND 4TH AND 5TH GRADE FUN NIGHTS THIS YEAR!

Chaperoning these events is fairly simple, since the high school Core Team leads and runs the event in its entirety but legally we need adults present as well.  Adult chaperones at FNL and Fun Night generally do not have a huge responsibility other than observing, being present and assisting in the event of first aid needs (such as handing out a band-aid) or helping in the event of an emergency. For FNL and Fun Night, we ask chaperones to arrive about 10-20 minutes before the start time and stay until most of the middle school participants have left (usually about 10 minutes after the end time).  It helps to know how many adults are coming a day or two in advance, but chaperones are welcome to show up last minute when they are able.

TO CHAPERONE for FNL or 4th and 5th grade fun night, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE ESSENTIAL THREE safety QUALIFICATIONS ANd then CONTACT US FOR MORE INFORMATION!
